Activities for Students

  • Attend sessions by MSU faculty and guest speakers on topics ranging from Japanese hip-hop and Swahili greetings to Bollywood and French slang!
  • Visit information stations to learn more about admission to MSU, study abroad, other international /language programs and departments at MSU, and student life.

Activities for Parents

  • You are welcome to attend the "general" language and culture sessions, or sessions especially for parents, including topics such as admissions, financial aid, student life, and the various languages and international opportunities available to MSU students.

Activities for Teachers & Administrators

  • You are welcome to attend the "general" language and culture sessions, or sessions especially for teachers, including topics such as how to incorporate languages and cultures into your courses, current language teaching pedagogy, incorporating technology in your classroom, and how to motivate your students.

10:30-4:30 Concurrent sessions (and lunch breaks) for students, teachers, and parents. Participants will be able to choose five sessions to attend throughout the day, in addition to lunch.   • Note that there will be no formal closing ceremony this year. In order to allow each participant to choose five sessions to attend, and in order to accommodate those schools that need to leave earlier in the day, we have eliminated the closing plenary. Raffle prizes will be distributed throughout the day after a morning drawing, and the final evaluations will be conducted online.
