  • This cross-platform multimedia program consists of interactive lessons that can be used by Spanish teachers to learn how to teach pronunciation. It can also be used by advanced students who are interested in improving their pronunciation on their own.

    Units include:

    • Las consonantes: Descripción
    • Las consonantes: Pronunciación
    • La ortografía
    • Los dialectos



    The units progress toward an overview of dialectology in which phonetic concepts are used to describe the major modalities of Spanish. The materials include: basic text in Spanish, exercises for ear training and oral practice, and additional "hidden" information for advanced learners. No knowledge of linguistics is necessary in order to utilize and benefit from these lessons.

    Compatibility Information:


    This CD-ROM runs on Windows, and on Macintosh computers with PowerPC processors. This CD-ROM will not work on OS X running on Intel processors. In order to make this CD-ROM run on the Intel Macintosh, the computer must run Windows using virtualization software such as Bootcamp or Parallels.
